General Information

LOCATION & COURSE

Moruya Jockey Club is located 300kms, which is a 3 hour drive, south of Sydney and 180kms, a 2 hour drive, east of Canberra.

The Club and racecourse is in Donnelly Drive at North Head, Moruya, opposite the Moruya Airport.

The current course was opened in 1985.  It is an excellent all-weather track, on a sand base with a bore water irrigation system.  The sand base provides a cushioned surface, easy on the horses’ legs.

The racecourse is a picturesque country course with extensive family friendly grassed areas for picnics and outdoor viewing and offers an undercover area with bar facilities.  The Club runs a full bar (alcohol cannot be brought into the racecourse) and a variety of food is available through independent contractors.
